Exploring the connection between OD and Coaching with Liezel van Arkel from Worldsview Academy

Why does it often feel that OD and coaching sit and look at each other from opposite sides of the (same) room?

In the past year, it feels like coaching, as a profession, is on the up, but that OD is very unsure of itself. I am part of a few local and international conversations about what the role of OD is in the current reality, whether it should redefine itself, and even whether it is still relevant. At this session, I will share some of the mainstream thinking about where OD is going and together we will explore whether redefining is necessary and how coaching fits into the emerging picture. (P.S. I am not a coach!)

About Liezel
Liezel started and ran her own retail business for 11 years before selling the business to start a new career in Organisation Development in 2011. Her entrepreneurial experience coupled with her qualifications, (Law + Psychology + MBA), experience in starting and managing the consulting division, and eventually moving into the partner and MD role at WorldsView Academy, gives Liezel a broad and realistic understanding of contemporary business issues.

Liezel ‘landed’ in OD feeling as if this is where she was supposed to be her whole life. She met the Enneagram in 2012, fell in love, and it has become integrated into all the OD work she does.
